About the founder

Prior to being a Buyer’s Advocate Ying Chan had a profession in medical sales, where on the weekends and in the evening, she would be renovating properties with her partner.

Ying turned her passion into a profession when she began working as a Property Adviser, Buyer’s Advocate and Vendor’s Advocate at a leading Melbourne Property Advisory firm where she has bought and sold hundreds of properties for her clients over the years. With a thirst for a challenge and a desire to steer her own ship, Ying founded Eclipse.

Ying's passion for real estate and dedication to finding the right fit for her clients is the driving force of Eclipse. With her previous experience in the medical profession, Ying has a unique perspective on how to work with busy and time poor professionals and make their lives easier.

“I always put my clients first and have my clients best interests at heart. Any decision or property I advise on, I think as if I were acting for myself, one of my own family members or friend.”

Ying thrives in the competitive property landscape; most weekends of the year she can be found at auctions bidding on behalf of her clients.

Ying is an accomplished public speaker and is often invited to speak at a range of events. She is known for her engaging, honest and relatable presenting style. Speaking occasions include client information evenings, professional development days for mortgage broker aggregators (AFG, Buyer’s Choice, Astute, Smartline, NLG, Aussie, Loan Gallery), and presenting property market updates at banks (Bank of Melbourne, Bank of Queensland Specialist, VicTeachers Credit union) accounting firms, mortgage broking groups, financial planning firms, and mortgage aggregators.

“I firmly believe that as a property adviser we are in the business of people first and property second.”

Ying takes a careful and considered approach when assessing and analysing investment properties and homes for her clients for purchase. She helps her clients bridge the gap between understanding the technical value of the property versus the current market sentiment which is the sound advice for which she is known for amongst her clients and referral partners.
